After a slow start to the game, the Denver Broncos regrouped and were able to get two key touchdown drives to give the Broncos their second preseason win.

It was not easy and most certainly was not pretty, but the Denver Broncos got the job done. Sounds familiar does it not?

Two touchdown drives, one each by Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch, led the team to a 17-9 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday night. But it certainly did not start off too well.

While the defense did their job at keeping the Rams out of the end zone, the offense just could not string anything together. When they did, something managed to come up that ended it.

Trevor Siemian played well in his second start. He went 10/17 for 122 yards. One touchdown pass to Virgil Green. He was also intercepted once. However, I feel like that interception was an incompletion. But then again, I do not make the calls.

The defense did a stellar job for the majority of the game. The only thing that they need to clean up is the personal foul penalties and some nitpicking here and there.

But when they were called on, they got the job done. They kept the Rams out of the end zone the entire game and even recorded a couple of sacks and hits on the quarterback.

It will be very difficult for the coaching staff to keep a good amount of players on defense, that is for sure.

Two veterans that did not see any playing time in the game were Mark Sanchez and Britton Colquitt. Both of their fates will be something to pay close attention to.

The Broncos have until August 30th to cut the roster to 75 players. Then they have their final preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals on the road before the final cuts are to be done on Saturday September 3rd.

Time for the tough decisions. But a good win tonight.
