The Denver Broncos players have some strong connections with mixed martial artists in the UFC as of lately with both Broncos players and mixed marital artists showing support for one another.

While most of the Denver Broncos fans were either at the game or watching the preseason matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, there was another event going on.

And it was not the Olympics.

While the Denver Broncos were in the midst of their second preseason tilt, the UFC had a big time fight card in Las Vegas.

The rematch between Nate Diaz and Connor McGregor highlighted the card.

As a fan of both sports, I was keeping tabs on the fights while watching the game. For those who did not see the fight, McGregor won the rematch in a majority decision.

So, what does the UFC and the Denver Broncos have in common? A lot more than you think.

After the preseason game on Saturday night, Derek Wolfe and Demaryius Thomas hung out with UFC Women’s Bantamweight contender and Denver Broncos fan Cat Zingano.

In an social media post, Cat Zingano posed with Demaryius Thomas as both showed their support for Anthony “Rumble” Johnson when he completed his 13 second knockout of Glover Teixeira.

Later on, Zingano posted about the support that NFL players show for the UFC mixed martial artists and vice versa in what appears to be a Snapchat of herself and Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe.

This is not the first time that we have seen the Denver Broncos and the UFC  connected. There are a few mixed martial artists that have shown their support for the Denver Broncos.

Fighters like Holly Holm, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, and Chris Camozzi have shown their support for the Denver Broncos. So, seeing Broncos players connected with UFC martial artists is something worth seeing.

The NFL and the UFC have had some strong connections. But the Denver Broncos have connected with a lot of these fighters. Even the Broncos social media team will show support to a fighter who is competing that night.

And we saw Von Miller supporting the UFC fighters during the offseason when he was in attendance for UFC 196 shortly after the Super Bowl win.

Hope both the mixed martial artists and Broncos players can continue to support one another in their quests throughout their individual careers.
