With the decision on the starting quarterback still undecided, Gary Kubiak did state that Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch will play the entire second half of Thursday’s game against the Chicago Bears.

Denver Broncos fans have been waiting to see who will start for the team in Thursday’s game against the Chicago Bears. While a decision still has not been made, Coach Gary Kubiak has stated how the quarterback situation will go.

As of right now, both Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian will play a quarter each in the first half. It has not been stated who will play each quarter, but it was noted that Paxton Lynch will play the entire second half in the game on Thursday.

The fact that Paxton Lynch will get an entire half to work with could really help in regards to getting him some real time simulation reputations. Broncos fans will get an extended look of what the future could be like and I could not be any more excited.

Even though his reputations will be against second and third string players, it still gives Lynch a solid chance to show us what he can do. He has been decent at training camp. Like the other two quarterbacks, he has had his up and down days, but I would say I have been slightly impressed by his camp performance.

If he can have a solid half against the Chicago Bears, look for Paxton Lynch’s numbers to increase as far as reputations go during training camp. There has always been one player on the Broncos roster for as long as I can remember that has shined during preseason games. Could Paxton Lynch be that player to do so? Trevor Siemian impressed a bit in last season’s preseason, so it is very possible.

I know as a fan, I am excited to see the preseason debut of Paxton Lynch and I am sure the rest of you are as well. Keep it here at Predominantly Orange as we keep you updated on all things training camp and the first preseason game of the season.
