Denver Broncos Super Bowl MVP linebacker Von Miller is quietly having a great training camp after a loud offseason full of appearances…
It almost seems impossible, but Denver Broncos linebacker and Super Bowl MVP has quietly had a great training camp. This should come as no surprise to anyone, as Miller just signed the richest contract for a defensive player in NFL history. It should also come as no surprise given the fact that Miller always comes to camp looking explosive, but this year is a bit different.
This year, Miller is entering his second contract with the Broncos, and his greatness isn’t necessarily the focus of camp.
. @Millerlite40 told me he hasn’t been in shape like this since college. In my opinion he’s having an amazing camp

While the major focus of training camp is on the quarterback position, the Broncos’ defense is up to business as usual. Miller is no exception to that, though because of his absence through OTAs, the team is leading him back into full-time work rather slowly and he won’t play in the Broncos’ pre-season opener against the Chicago Bears.
That’s probably for the best.
Von Miller said physically he's good, conditioning is good, but he still has a little bit to go mentally - a week or two he'll be good.

Expect Miller to get a tune-up in the Broncos’ third pre-season game, perhaps even the second, but for now they are taking it slow.
Aside from his current gameday status, Miller’s dedication this offseason to his craft is impressive. This is a guy who was making appearances weekly at least, if not daily. He was always doing something this offseason, causing some worry that he might not be physically in ‘football shape’ but that obviously hasn’t been the case.
With Peyton Manning gone, this team is officially Von Miller’s, if it wasn’t already before. He’s taken on a new leadership role, and an even more prominent place in Denver sports. He’s ‘the man’ and is acting like it.
