Broncos Training Camp: The Denver Broncos announced that DE Kenny Anunike has been waived and safety Ryan Murphy has been re-signed.
The frustrating journey for Kenny Anunike has come to an end in Denver. After battling a series of season ending injuries in back-to-back seasons, the Denver Broncos have decided to move on.
On Monday, undrafted free agent Kenny Anunike was waived by the Denver Broncos and in his place the team re-signed safety Ryan Murphy. For those who do not remember, Murphy was a practice squad member in 2015 and was sent home before the Super Bowl due to a prostitution sting.

It is a shame to see Anunike’s time in Denver come to an end. Whenever he was not hampered by injury, there were times where he shined. This is especially true in the preseason. I remember when he was playing against the Seattle Seahawks in his first year with the Broncos and how much of a force he was. Eight tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble.

The one thing that confuses me about this move is why bring back a safety that will just be a training camp body? I honestly believe that the Denver Broncos would have more luck signing Omar Bolden back to the roster after he was released by the Chicago Bears.
Perhaps it was injury for Bolden that prevented that. Hopefully he finds a job somewhere in the NFL.
But back to the Denver Broncos news. Perhaps there will be a chance that Kenny Anunike finds a job in the NFL once his injuries clear up. Who knows, maybe the Denver Broncos will give him another shot when he is back to full health.
For the time being, training camp must go on. Keep it here at Predominatly Orange as we keep you updated on all things in regards to the Denver Broncos as they prepare for their first preseason game against the Chicago Bears.
