Terrell Davis

Perhaps the one player that a lot of fans are really surprised is not in the Hall of Fame is 2,000 yard rusher Terrell Davis.

Despite the fact that he was only in the NFL for seven years, he made such an impact for the Super Bowl teams for the Denver Broncos. Davis was clearly the running back the team had been looking for. He became only the fourth player in NFL history at the time, and the seventh all time, to record 2,000 yards in a season.

He is a three time Pro Bowler and First-team All-Pro. He was also the NFL’s Most Valuable Player in 1998, the same year the Broncos completed the back-to-back Super Bowl wins.

Perhaps the biggest accomplishment was that Davis recorded 6,413 yards rushing in just his first four years with the Denver Broncos. Only Earl Campbell and Eric Dickerson had more in that same span.

He is also one of only six players to record 1,000 or more rushing yards in the postseason. So, please, tell me NFL… Why isn’t Terrell Davis in the Hall of Fame?
