Broncos Training Camp: With the abundance of wide receivers on the Denver Broncos roster, could John Elway look to move one of his wide outs in a trade?

For the Denver Broncos, the offense will be looking to improve greatly from last season. While there were moments in where the offense was solid, most notability the Green Bay Packers game, it was really a season in which timing was off.

With Gary Kubiak focusing more on the zone blocking scheme and the running game this season, there will not be a lot of passing plays. And receivers thrive on the passing game.

Also, having Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders as the two play makers at the receiver position, there is not a lot of opportunities for other wide outs to branch out and make big plays.

Perhaps with the abundance of wide outs on the roster, it could be wise for the Denver Broncos to package one in a trade to another team. The only question is what would the Broncos want in return and who would be the most likely trade candidate?

We all know that Sanders and Thomas are safe. It is the players behind them that could see themselves moved to another team.

I believe that the players that could most likely see themselves in different colors this season are either Cody Latimer or Jordan Norwood. I honestly believe that both players could be starters on other teams. Both have had solid training camps. But with the limited room, unless something changes during the preseason, I can only see one of the two making the final roster.

This is especially true with Jordan Taylor having a stellar camp as of so far. I also believe that Bennie Fowler could be the third down wide out for the Denver Broncos if he continues to improve.

There are many options that the Broncos could go with in regards to their wide receivers. But what could the team want in return?

My best bet is that the Denver Broncos and John Elway would want to acquire some draft picks during the preseason trades, if one happens. As far as another player goes, I am not sure as of now what he could trade for. Be best to see what happens in the first two preseason games before a decision can be made on a specific position.

I believe it is a good thing that the Denver Broncos are in a good spot in regards to the receiver corps. But with the first preseason game right around the corner, it is time to put up or shut up. Let us see what this receiving group has heading into the 2016 season.
