For the CSU Ram faithful, this has been an impressive camp for both Shaq Barrett and Kapri Bibbs. Barrett has seen tremendous production as a rotational player last season and this year looks to be no different. At one point during the season, debates were thrown around who is a better pass rusher: Shane Ray or Shaq Barrett. It does not matter anymore. Both players have had a unique skill-set and Barrett has had a very good camp.

Super Bowl MVP, Von Miller was asked in an interview what he had thought of Shaq Barrett early in camp. Miller would say the coaches continue to get he and Barrett mixed up on the field. That is high praise from both the MVP and the coaches who continue to use Barrett in the pass rush.

Barrett looks lighter and fresh making him even more of a nightmare as a pass rusher. Paired with Ray early in Barrett’s career will benefit both in the long term. They understand each other’s role right now and how they move when getting to the quarterback. It is like having a second team pass rush that plays like the first team not losing a step. Barrett continues to have a great camp and expect he and Ray to have bigger numbers this coming season.
