The Denver Broncos continue to add to the offensive line as Mathu Gibson, an offensive guard out of Wingate, signed with the team on Friday.

There is no doubt that the Denver Broncos offensive line was not the best during the 2015 season. Seeing the quarterbacks not having a lot of time to throw the ball and get sacked have been a huge issue the past two seasons.

As of Friday morning, the Denver Broncos made another move at the offensive line. The team signed guard Mathu Gibson out of Wingate, which is a private university in North Carolina for those who are unfamiliar with the school.

Mathu Gibson measured in at six foot, six inches. Weighed in at 295 pounds. Although according to the fearless leader Sayre Bedinger, he came in at 6-3 and 301 at his pro day.

To make room for Mathu Gibson on the roster, the team has waived center/guard Sam Brenner. Brenner was concussed on Sunday during training camp.

This does not come as much of a surprise to me. The Denver Broncos have been doing their best to field the five best guys on the offensive line. It has been one of their bigger goals this offseason. With Russell Okung and Donald Stephenson signing this offseason, I believe those men will help out in the long run.

What if the starting offensive line at any point get injured? It would benefit the team to have some solid backups. I mean, look at the edge rushers for the Broncos. If Miller or Ware get hurt, Shane Ray and Shaquil Barrett are right there and can perform at a high level.

One thing that intrigues me about Mathu Gibson is his ability to move the man he is defending. Of course, the job of the lineman is to keep the defensive player out of the way of the person who is holding the football. But it is the way he does it is what intrigues me.
