Kapri Bibbs, RB (Ty Walden)

I have been waiting for so long to see if Bibbs could break out and find a spot on the Denver Broncos final roster. I believe this will be the year that he does that. After spending the last two seasons on the practice squad, this could be now or never for the former Colorado State Ram.

In preseason, he has shown a lot of promise. However, I believe the only issue that he has is his weakness in pass protection. If he can improve on that in training camp and during the preseason, he has a really good shot at taking someone’s place on the 53-man roster.

His style of running compliments Gary Kubiak’s system very well. He has the abilities to find the opening lane and cut into it very well. He is also very quick. Seeing his highlights from when he was playing at Colorado State, he can turn into The Flash once he hits the open field.

If he can improve all around during training camp, I could see a situation in which he takes Ronnie Hillman’s spot on the roster. Comparing the two players, they are both speed backs, but I honestly believe that Bibbs has a lot more of an upside than Hillman does because of his abilities and his fit in the zone blocking scheme.

With C.J. Anderson and Devontae Booker on the roster as the power runners, there might only be room for either Hillman or Bibbs. And I believe as long as Kapri Bibbs makes a statement in preseason and improves his craft in training camp, he is going to be a solid running back for the Denver Broncos.
