The running back position is a crowded bunch and after getting his bell rung yesterday in camp, Ronnie Hillman is now on the bubble. In today’s work out, Hillman was spotted not wearing pads.

Hillman was signed back to the roster to bring competition to a crowded backfield. Now, his spot on the team is uncertain. Statistically, Hillman had a career year having over 863 years averaging 4.2 yards per carry; however, he easily could have had over 1,000 yards. At times during the season, Hillman would shrink in games and nearly cost the team a game. Particularly, the Broncos versus Patriots AFC Championship game, running backs coach, Eric Studesville verbally chewed out Hillman for not finishing a play. He must perform better than he has ever had in his life to make the roster.

Not performing today stemmed from the big hit yesterday where Hillman had his clocked clean by Zaire Anderson. Hillman would later be taken to the locker for a back injury. Certainly injuries happen, but there is one person who could ill-afford to have an injury and that is Hillman.
