Jordan “Sunshine” Taylor was all the talk of camp after day two, and why not with catches like this.  Taylor is a very good deep ball threat, but even with the spectacular catches he’s been making, he’s also dropped a few in the past two days as well.

Regardless, he was constantly beating his man down the field on go routes, and at this point, has a real good shot to make this team.  The one problem for the Broncos if he doesn’t, is that the Broncos probably won’t be able to hide him on their practice squad this year.

While Taylor got all the headlines, this day belonged to none other than Bennie Fowler.  This guy is just an electric player, and made the catch of the day on a pass from Mark Sanchez that should have been 6 going the other way.

There is no doubt at this point that Fowler has a pretty tight grip on the number three receiver position.  He is turning into a fantastic route runner, but most importantly has hands that Cecil Lammey described as “magnets”.  He snares anything that comes his way, and in case you didn’t notice last year, he is an absolute beast after the catch.

One player that is certainly no lock to make this team is Cody Latimer.  While he is a fine special teams player, and was a second round draft choice just two years ago, his inconsistency might cost him a job.

The Broncos are absolutely stacked this year at receiver, and Cody had better step up and make some big plays if he would like to keep his job with the Champs.
