Denver Broncos wide receiver Jordan Taylor is taking advantage of reps at training camp, working to solidify a roster spot and huge plays like this help…
As Denver Broncos training camp moves forward, second year wide receiver Jordan Taylor is looking to secure a spot on this roster.
I’d say he’s making some pretty good progress toward that goal. Taylor provided the Broncos and their fans with one of those catches that you don’t see hardly ever, a one-handed catch that required full extension and awkward contortion of his body.

“Honestly I just threw my hand up and thank god for these gloves, it stuck in there,” Taylor said after his catch went viral on Twitter. “I haven’t seen it on film, so I’ll check it out here in a little bit.”
After his performance in camp and the pre-season last year, Taylor earned himself a spot on the Broncos’ practice squad, but fans were somewhat concerned he might not make it there. 6-5 receivers with Taylor’s hands and athletic ability aren’t growing on trees, so the Broncos have a gem on their hands.

At today’s practice, head coach Gary Kubiak took notice of Taylor’s catch from afar.
“I saw it from like 75 yards away, so it was obviously something special. I’ll go take a peak. Jordan is an interesting kid. It seems like the harder things get and the longer we practice and those types of things is when he starts to play at his best. His legs got a little tired today, but he keeps going. I think his conditioning level gives him a chance to be a really good player.”
The Broncos’ depth chart at receiver is getting full, but there’s no question that Taylor has done more than enough to prove he deserves a shot to get some regular season action. He’s played very little special teams but knows the importance of it, now it’s just a matter of putting together the best tape he possibly can and being consistent.
