Former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning shows us the life of a retired quarterback in three new comic ads for Directv’s NFL Sunday Ticket.
Sometimes, retiring from the game that you love could bring some tough times. The biggest question that would be created in my head would be the “now what?” question. With the help of Directv, we may see a comic side to what Peyton Manning’s life is now that he had retired.
The future Hall of Fame quarterback is staring alongside Lionel Richie in three new Directv’s ads on the various activities that Manning does during his first full season as a retired quarterback.
In all three videos, we see Peyton Manning in a robe with a orange t-shirt and shorts as he ventures on Sunday mornings at the park and a grocery store. He also is seen sitting at home as he calls his brother Eli Manning hoping that he can come over and watch football with him.

However, Eli is getting ready to play in a game so he is unable to join him. I can feel the sadness that sinks into Peyton knowing that he is retired and can’t hang out with his brother.
Peyton Manning has been a staple in the Directv’s Sunday Ticket ads for quite some time. Along with his brother, the Manning brothers have been starring in them. The best ad that I have seen before these series of ads was the rap they both did a couple years back.

Life in the NFL without Peyton Manning this season will be oddly weird for a lot of fans. Playing since the 1998 season, it has been a long and great career for the quarterback. It won’t be for another five years until he is eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Hopefully, Peyton is somewhere enjoying life with his kids and his wife and adjusting to life post-NFL. I hope that he continues to live a healthy life and maybe we will see him in the booth or as an analysis sometime in the near future. But I know in just a little over a month, we will see him with the Denver Broncos as they raise the Super Bowl 50 Championship Banner.
