For the third consecutive year, the Denver Broncos return what I believe to be the best group of cornerbacks in the NFL, headlined by two Pro Bowlers in Chris Harris Jr. and Aqib Talib.

Whether the Broncos are in man coverage or zone coverage, whether they’re pressing or playing off, there’s no group in the NFL that is as aggressive, physical, and dominant over the course of 60 minutes of a football game as this unit.

Take it to the bank.

John Elway has spoiled Denver fans with this group, which he built after getting mauled in Super Bowl 48 by the Seattle Seahawks. Chris Harris didn’t play in that game, but Elway knew he had a star in the former Jayhawk, so he added another to pair with him in free agency.

With Talib in the fold, it appeared as though the Broncos were set at cornerback having just drafted Kayvon Webster the year prior in the third round, but Elway wasn’t finished. He used the 31st overall pick in 2014 on Ohio State cornerback Bradley Roby, another very physical cornerback who likes to attack the football.

By the 2015 season, Roby had matured into a very good nickel/outside corner and the combination of Harris and Talib was something the Broncos could count on weekly. Those three guys are the main reason the Broncos’ defensive backfield is called the “No Fly Zone” and they are all back for 2015.

The depth chart won’t be much of a surprise, but let’s take a look at the state of things at the cornerback position for the Broncos in 2016…
