Special teams is where Kayvon Webster made his name on the roster in the past. Now, as an upcoming free agent in 2017 the Broncos will have to see more from him to give Webster the contract extension he has been searching for.

Webster had taken a big leap forward in his play in clutch special teams gunner plays resulting in fumbles and big hits. He is a physical corner who is big and plays the nickel spot when Bradley Roby is not there. In his first season he had over ten deflections and a force fumble playing nickel and right cornerback.

David Bruton was the ultimate fan favorite and stayed with the Broncos before earning the starting spot he deserved in Washington. Webster is the David Bruton on special teams. It would be very difficult to see Webster on a different team, which is why the likelihood of him remaining on the Broncos is still high.

However, if Webster outplays a contract the Broncos could be asking, he will not be a Bronco in 2017. That can happen Webster plays the same way he did this last season. But, the Broncos can still reward Webster with a big pay day in the offseason of 2017.
