Riley Dixon

Can Riley Dixon unseat the incumbent Britton Colquitt?

That remains to be seen, but the guy sure can run a fake punt…

In all seriousness, Dixon was drafted for a reason. The Broncos prioritized him over other punters in the draft, and while earning a seventh round draft slot guarantees you nothing in this league, it speaks volumes to the fact that the Broncos picked him and decided they didn’t want to let other teams have a shot at him until after the draft.

There will be a true competition at the punter position and the Broncos may want Dixon to ultimately win it for salary cap reasons. Britton Colquitt had a tremendous playoff run, but it could be the youngster’s job to lose.

In addition to punting, Dixon would likely take over holder duties as well, and it takes time to develop that chemistry.
