Longtime Denver Broncos PA announcer, Alan Roach is leaving the team for the Minnesota Vikings in the same capacity for the team’s new facility.

Roach has that distinct radio voice easy to notice in the state of Colorado. He has spent 13 years working the Colorado Rockies and 16 years with the Broncos, as well as, public address announcer for the Colorado Avalanche since 1999. Roach’s talent has even reached the airwaves of Denver International Airport.

To Roach, it is not the announcing that is the best, it is the fans reactions that make the impact of his job fun. Yet, no team has been as fanatical as the Broncos.

“It’s not announcing the names that makes my job the best in the world, it’s the fans’ reactions that make all the difference! And when it comes to fans, I’ve never experienced anywhere else in the world, a group of fans as passionate as those who follow the Denver Broncos,” Roach said on his website.

Roach grew up a Minnesota as a child. The opportunity to be public address announcer for new U.S. Bank Stadium was tough to pass up for Denver’s great public address announcer.

“This offseason, I was presented with my opportunity of a lifetime. Having grown up in Minnesota my entire childhood, the Minnesota Vikings have always provided for me what I see in the eyes of Bronco’s fans,” Roach continued on his website.

Make no mistake, Roach is a Broncos’ fan and will hold a place in his heart.

“I was raised and trained as a Bronco, but long ago I was born a Viking.  I will become the PA announcer at the new U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis for the Minnesota Vikings starting this August,” Roach said.

“Ever since being bestowed with the honor of picking up where the great Alan Cass left off, I’ve looked forward to every football Sunday in Denver. Win or lose, the thrill of announcing a game at Mile High has always been special. The unequalled exuberance of Bronco’s Nation has made my job intoxicating. The energy that exudes from the sea of orange is radiant.  I wish each of you could experience the thrill as 77,000 passion-filled fans react uproariously to something you say, or don’t say in the case of IN-COM-PLETE. Once you do, you’ll know why I am the luckiest PA announcer in all of football,” Roach on his fandom with the Broncos and the best fans in the world.

“I will miss every one of the more than 13 million fans I’ve had the honor to enjoy a Bronco’s game with. Thank you again to the best fans in the NFL for including me in your gamedays! In the end, it’s true, there is no place like home,” Roach added on his fandom with the Broncos, but stated there is no place like home.

“Thank you, Broncos Country, for an incredible ride,” Roach said in a goodbye to Denver.

Alan Roach will be missed as the PA announcer for the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos; however, the imprint he has made on the Mile High City will never be forgotten.
