Mark Sanchez

On March 1st, Sam Bradford was given a new two year contract. Two days after Osweiler signed with the Texans, the Broncos and Eagles agreed to a trade to send Sanchez over to them in exchange for a seventh round draft pick.

I remember fans in Broncos Country practically panicking when the news broke. I will admit, I did too at first because of what he has done recently. But the more I looked at it, the move was actually smart in the long term.

Mark Sanchez only has one year remaining on his contract. I foresee him being their for that year while the Broncos look into the other quarterbacks on the roster and have them learn the system a bit more. But Sanchez is not a bad option at quarterback for the time being.

During his career up to this point, Sanchez has thrown for over 15,000 yards and is almost even in touchdown to interceptions at 86-84. Let us not forget that he has led the New York Jets to two straight AFC Championship Games in his first two seasons. So, I know he has something in the tank in regards to leading a team to the title.

Could he have enough left from his early NFL days to do that again? Only time will tell.

Next: Trevor Siemian
