The Denver Broncos and Emmanuel Sanders have exchanged contract proposals according to Mike Klis of 9 News Denver. Could Sanders be the next player to re-sign with the Broncos?

Yesterday, we got to see Brandon Marshall sign a new deal. It is four years for $32 million dollars with $20 million of it being guaranteed. The next player to work with is Broncos wide receiver and fan favorite Emmanuel Sanders.

According to Mike Klis, both the Broncos and Emmanuel Sanders have exchanged contract proposals. This is the first step in negotiating a deal that should work out for both parties that would keep Sanders in Denver for a significant amount of time.

I believe the idea for Emmanuel Sanders is to go based on his performance in the past two seasons. I believe that Sanders is one of the better No. 2 wide outs in the league today. In his first two seasons, he recorded over 1,000 yards both times.

Currently, Sanders is entering the final year of his three year, $15 million deal. He is set to make $5.6 million on the current deal. With the amount of work he has done in the first two years, the Broncos need to give him a solid deal.

Having both Sanders and Demaryius Thomas on the roster would be really help the quarterbacks. This will hold especially true for newly drafted quarterback Paxton Lynch to have some veteran wide outs to help him get in sync with the scheme.

In my opinion, the Broncos should look at somewhere around $40 million overall and a little bit around half of that guaranteed. I could see that being a fair deal for both parties involved. Emmanuel Sanders has definitely earned that kind of money with his performance.

Do not forget that the Broncos offense struggled last season and Sanders still put up some pretty significant numbers and excelled in the playoffs. He deserves to have a big payday.
