10. Demaryius Thomas
Demaryius Thomas isn’t exactly on the good graces of every Denver Broncos fan right now, but that doesn’t mean he’s not important to the team.
He wasn’t — in my estimation — the best receiver on the Broncos last season, no matter what the statistics say, but since 2011, there haven’t been many receivers in the NFL capable of putting up the kind of production we’ve seen from DT.
Thomas is obviously a mismatch with his combination of size and speed, but after his holdout last offseason, he struggled with some drops and what appeared at times to be a lack of effort. I can’t speak to that directly or what he might have been distracted by, but the Demaryius Thomas we saw in 2015 wasn’t the same guy we’d seen in the previous four seasons.
Hopefully in 2016, he’s got a renewed motivation. He is a critical piece of the Broncos’ offense.
