Number Three: Recent Dominance in the AFC West
The Broncos have been DOMINANT against AFC West competition going all the way back to 2011, John Elway’s first season as General Manager, but more known as the Tebow year. Since 2011, the Broncos have gone 24-6 against the division, or 8-2 against each team. 3 of those losses, one to each team, came in the 2011 Tebow year as well, so since 2012, the Broncos are 21-3 in the division. By the way, every one of those 6 losses have been home losses, as they have been undefeated in the division on the road since 2011. That is dominance if I have ever heard it, and while the rest of the division may have caught up a bit in talent, please don’t discount the mental edge the Broncos have against these three teams, as they have been nearly unbeatable for the past five

years. Quarterback aside (and yes, I do believe Peyton Manning was still a more viable option then what the Broncos currently have at quarterback, based mainly on the experience he brought, and the ability to be in the right plays at the right times), the Broncos should be moving forward in all other facets of the offense, and the defense should be as dominant as ever. Combine that with the psychological hold the Broncos possess over the rest of the division, there is no reason to think that dominance will be any less. Sure they may drop a game or two within the division, but overall, they should take care of business, and that will prove to be the difference between winning and losing the division.
