Jason Elam, John Lynch and Simon Fletcher have been inducted into the Broncos Ring of Fame.

Elam played with the Broncos from 1993 to 2007 tallying 1,786 points ever than any player on the team. His longevity as a kicker is impressive and a fan favorite for Broncos fans during his long time in Denver. A record field goal of 63-yards is also in Elam’s resume against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Elam will always be the best kicker in Broncos history and the strongest leg ever witnessed in my lifetime. Remarkable accuracy from the ex-Broncos kicker was staggering at 99 percent on extra points and 81 percent on field goals made.

Lynch played on the Broncos for four seasons after his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Lynch is as physical a safety as they come at the position racking up fines and willing to lay the lumber at the line of scrimmage. If the Broncos wanted a change of momentum to swing it their way with a big hit they could count on Lynch in any situation. Coverage from the 9-time Pro Bowl safety Lynch was as good as his physical play. Recently, Lynch has been the color commentator for the Broncos during their preseason games.

Fletcher averaged close to 80 tackles a season, which is impressive for rush end, and a player who spent most of his time in the backfield hunting quarterbacks. He spent his entire career with the Broncos for 10 years racking up 97.5 sacks with his best year coming in 1992 when he had 16 sacks. Fletcher was an instrumental part of the Broncos runs to the Super Bowl in John Elway’s early years in the franchise.

All three players are well deserving and look forward to seeing them inducted into the Ring of Fame.
