Jordan Norwood gave the Broncos some excitement on special teams as a returner, but the team has been searching for an electrifying KR/PR since Trindon Holliday. Holliday’s size and fumble bug would later create an open roster spot.

Bralon Addison and Kalif Raymond have been added as undrafted free agents and both have a polished return game to be named starter for the Broncos. The Broncos could keep Norwood on the roster as punt returner and utilize Addison or Raymond on kickoffs. Teams have done both before. In the past, under Peyton Manning’s new offense, the logic was have a player back to fair catch the punt to give to the offense. With Manning out of the picture, the team may need more punch on punts and kickoffs. Addison and Raymond would have the edge over Norwood.

Norwood can remain on the roster if the Broncos choose to utilize him on punts. He has big play talent as a returner. We all remember his terrific awareness play in Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers. The days of Trindon Holliday are gone. The Broncos must find an answer. Norwood, Addison and Raymond fit the bill.
