Max Garcia, OL
Center Matt Paradis recently said that the Broncos didn’t list Garcia as a starter last year, but his teammates viewed him as one. As far as rookies go, Garcia played the most significant role outside of edge rusher Shane Ray, and that role — like Ray’s — will expand significantly this year.
Prior to bringing in veteran Evan Mathis late in camp last offseason, the Broncos were prepared for Garcia to be the starting left guard going into the season, and they seemed confident about it.
With the ability to play both center and guard, Garcia has positional versatility that NFL coaches love, and he plays with strength and toughness. He will be a starter for the Broncos this year, and I think he’s going to be a really good one.
