Surprisingly, the Broncos have added another punter to the roster. The 228th pick is Syracuse’s Riley Dixon who could signal a possible release or more leverage to get a pay cut done with Britton Colquitt. Broncos currently have two other punters on the roster in Will Johnson and now Dixon. The competition for punter is there and may be an interesting one to watch once training camp starts.
Dixon averaged 42 yards per punt which is pretty impressive and added the notorious Mile High air, he could be a threat to the special teams unit.
Reaction is here from the writers, John Elway and much more:
Wrapped up our draft by taking punter Riley Dixon from Syracuse in the 7th rd. He's a talented punter who had a lot of success in college.

The @Broncos now have three punters: Reserve-future signee Will Johnson, rookie Riley Dixon and incumbent Britton Colquitt.

228 #Broncos Riley Dixon P Great hangtime. Adjusts to bad snaps. Not the strongest punter. Coffin Corner type punter.

Riley Dixon and that altitude in Denver. Oh my. So happy he got drafted there, even though I'm not a Broncos fan.
