Quarterback

Due to Peyton Manning’s retirement and Brock Osweiler leaving for the Houston Texans, the Broncos were at a point in their offseason when Trevor Siemian, their seventh round draft pick last year, would be penciled in as the starting quarterback if the season began.

The Broncos quickly took care of that when the team traded for Mark Sanchez and for the longest time were in the market for a trade with Colin Kaepernick. While those talks are apparently still on the table, there has not been any development on that regard.

So, here we are Broncos Country. The team will need at least one quarterback to compete with Trevor Siemian and Mark Sanchez. And as of this writing, I am getting less and less confident that Paxton Lynch will not be that quarterback.

But do not be discouraged Broncos fans. There are plenty of options at the quarterback position in the draft. So, I would not be surprised if Elway wanted to wait until the third round at the earliest before they drafted a quarterback if they needed to.

I have confidence in Mark Sanchez for the time being. He appears to be very dedicated towards his work and to better himself for his new team. Not to mention he has been focused of connecting with his wide outs.

Chances are we will not know who are starting quarterback is going to be for a while, but I can say in confidence that we will be okay.
