The Denver Broncos lost Danny Trevathan to free agency in the first few hours. The team is in need of an inside linebacker in the draft. The one name here that has been linked to the Broncos is B.J. Goodson.

Goodson is an inside linebacker who could fill in the void left by Trevathan and team up with Brandon Marshall. And with his abilities to get to the quarterback, he would add on to that Orange Crush defense that specializes in getting to the quarterback.

Plus, the Broncos defense could never have enough edge rushers to get to the quarterback. The one thing that he could improve on is his pursuit speed, according to NFL.com. But that could be something that he can work on in due time.

His ability to handle the inside blockers and get to the second level is quite impressive. This man would be a great addition to the future of the Broncos’ defense for years to come.

Stephen Weatherly is an intriguing late round draft choice for the Broncos if Goodson is not avalalible. His ability as an A-Gap blitzer and to pursue the running back is ideal for this defense.
