Despite not signing his restricted free agency tender, Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall is at Dove Valley and will be participating in the offseason program for the Super Bowl champs.

Well Broncos Country, it is back to work for our Super Bowl Champions. And while the MVP is not going to be in attendance, another key piece to the defense will participate.

Despite rumors floating around that Brandon Marshall will be searching for other suitors, the Broncos linebacker has arrived at Dove Valley and will be participating in the organized team activities starting on Monday. In order to participate, he has to sign a waiver since he did not sign his tender yet.

A smart move by Brandon Marshall. While I can understand the frustration of being assigned a tender instead of a solid contract for his play, he is making the right decision by practicing with his teammates. This way, he can stay in playing form and not skip a beat by missing time.

Marshall has been one of the most effective tacklers on the team in the past couple of years. He was normally with the Jacksonville Jaguars before coming over to Denver. In 2015, he recorded 76 tackles and 1.5 sacks while recording an interception and four pass defended.

This is after a 2014 season that saw him record over 100 tackles, which is amazing for any defensive player. He has quietly become one of the more well-rounded players on the team.

Perhaps his hard work and determination will lead to something better down the road. John Elway could be impressed and give him a contract at some point. Maybe he will play with the tender and continue to work in 2016.

Anything is possible for the linebacker who often gets mistaken for the wide receiver of the same name. But it is impressive that he will not let not having a better contract slow him down from working with his teammates.

To me, Brandon Marshall is a prime example of being a team player who works hard and will not let anything slow him down. He’s shown it during injuries and he is showing it by being in attendance today for OTA’s.

You are a great man Brandon Marshall. And I hope that all of your hard work ends up paying off sometime in the near future.
