Back in 2013, the Denver Broncos had their kicker of the now in Matt Prater; however, due to his stupidity of receiving a DUI Prater was released by the team and later sign with the Detroit Lions.

Broncos signed Brandon McManus to compete with Prater, but due to Prater’s DUI, McManus was given the spot.

McManus signed his exclusive rights free agents (ERFA) deal today maintaining his role with the team. An ERFA is a player who is on the roster that has amassed two seasons in the NFL and can only sign with his prior team. The Broncos will have 16 players in 2017 who are exclusive rights free agents. Notables include: Shaquille Barrett, Kapri Bibbs, Bennie Fowler and Matt Paradis.

Stephen Gostowski from New England has been proven to be a weapon for the Patriots. McManus given more reps and another full season with the Broncos, could be the weapon team has not had since Denver great, Jason Elam.

Good news Broncos fans, the team is set at kicker.
