8. (219th overall) Dan Vitale, FB/TE, Northwestern
I don’t know how serious the Broncos are about bringing a fullback into the offense again, but if they’re going to do it, they need someone who can do more than just block. You need to find someone who can catch passes, block, and make himself a necessity in the offense.
Vitale is the kind of player who can do just that.
The Northwestern ‘superback’ was one of the most versatile players in all of college football this past season and has been since he got there, playing with a unique combination of athleticism, grit, and obviously playing a position that really is one-of-a-kind. He could be a really fun addition to the Broncos’ offense.
