#1- Broncos pursuit of a top QB prospect.  This one’s the most obvious. With an unsuspecting team

like the Rams making a splash to get the #1 overall pick, it certainly alters the landscape for the rest of the QB needy teams in the first round.

Now the assumption is that Cleveland will take whichever QB LA doesn’t take at #1 with the #2 overall pick, essentially taking the top two passers off of the board right away.

Now neither of these prospects were expected to be in reach for the Broncos, but because of this move, it could move other passers like Paxton Lynch or Connor Cook up draft boards, causing a problem for the Broncos.

At one time, both prospects were expected to be on the board when the Broncos made their selection at #31 overall, but with the QB market always on the rise and the sudden trade shaking up this year’s draft, it’s looking more and more likely that Denver will have to trade up in the 1st round to secure one of Lynch/Cook’s services.
