Colin Kaepernick to the Denver Broncos has been held up for a month with new twists and turns; however, we enter Apr. 6 with the same story. Despite the same story, Broncos fans want to know who the answer will be at the quarterback. Our writers Predominantly Orange are with you Broncos fans. If there is one person you should put your trust in, it is John Elway.
This might surprise people, but the more the Kaepernick trade rumors continue to swirl, the more Broncos will gain leverage with each day. Kaepernick’s trade value will become clear around Apr. 18 when the Denver Broncos report for their workout program or before the draft on Apr. 28, which seems to be the likely resolution date. Kaepernick has already attended the start of the 49ers workout program to earn his $400,000 bonus putting more pressure on Elway and the Broncos.

Kaepernick’s relationship with Trent Baalke and Jed York is beyond repair. His teammates now understand Kaepernick wants to be the Denver Broncos quarterback. Maybe they do want Kaepernick as their quarterback, but paying a quarterback 14.3 million to be on the bench and watch the quarterback Chip Kelly and the front office have more trust in would not sit well with Kaepernick.
The writers in San Francisco tend to believe a trade is the most likely result to end all party’s problems. They added this could take a while before this gets resolved. Typically, the new coach would prefer to choose the quarterback he wants to run their team. Kaepernick, to the 49ers, is not that answer, but the team prefers to give glowing praise to Blaine Gabbert, the quarterback with no track record.
Source: Kaepernick-49ers-Denver stalemate is about more than the $5M gap in 2016 salary. Many complications. This is going to take a while.

Yes. I believe Kelly, Baalke and York feel the same way. https://t.co/sgqPfVqFCK

According to a source backing Kawakami, the supposed Kaepernick/Chip Kelly relationship is not what it appears. Kelly does not have a desire to coach Kaepernick. The question that must be addressed is why would the 49ers front office, supposedly are at odds with the quarterback, hire a coach in Kelly to work with Kaepernick who does not want Kaepernick either? This can change with Kaepernick’s appearance at the workout programs, yet it does not appear headed down that direction. For the Broncos to acquire the 28-year old quarterback they must continue to play the waiting game and hope Kaepernick chooses the Broncos. The source does think the trade will happen. He believes it will happen between now and before the NFL Draft.
I recently asked Ian Rapoport on Twitter to update us on this continued Kaepernick saga.
@CFD22 @CamParker22 everyone has hit pause. Tune in the Friday of the draft

This lays right in line with the deadline Darren “DMac” McKee, 104.3 The Fan Host, who said he believes a trade will likely pick up and be done before the draft. McKee agreed with my source that the Broncos would land the 28-year old quarterback.
Despite the 1.6 million left in cap space, the Broncos seem content with that number and trade for Kaepernick; however, they can maneuver the cap to fit their liking since Von Miller and Brandon Marshall have not signed their franchise tender. The Broncos must address Ryan Clady stance on the roster decision before or after acquiring Kaepernick. McKee stated Clady more than likely is released before the draft on Apr. 28. Clady off the books would solve the entire Broncos’ problems with Kaepernick, but Broncos appear to be content with that 1.6 million number. It is hard, however, to see the cap staying at its current stance with the NFL Draft commencing at the end of the month.
Call it a gut feeling, but Broncos will trade for Kaepernick in my opinion. It is just a matter of when. Nonetheless, this whole situation has us more impatient by the day; however, the Broncos have a Hall of Famer running the show. If Elway does not land Kaepernick, Broncos fans must embrace Mark Sanchez, Trevor Siemian or a draft pick as their quarterback.
