A Broncos Scout Flocks To Paxton Lynch’s Pro Day

The Denver Broncos have been linked to Paxton Lynch since he declared for the draft from the University of Memphis. If you would have told me two of the top three quarterbacks in this year’s draft would come from North Dakota State and Memphis before the college season began, I would have laughed at you. Carson Wentz and Lynch prove what makes the NFL Draft so great. They may end up being busts (doubt it), but they helped their programs for years to come.

An area scout from the Broncos will flock to Memphis to take a long, hard look at the young quarterback Lynch with visit upcoming. If the Broncos trade with Colin Kaepernick fall through, it would be a strong bet they will do everything they can to draft Lynch. Cardale Jones, Brandon Allen and Lynch all are very talented prospects, but no one has a higher ceiling of the three than Lynch.

Lynch’s has the Brock Osweiler size, but with a better throwing motion and better mechanics to succeed in the Gary Kubiak system. He has a cannon for an arm with accuracy that can get him beat at times. But working with the likes of Gary Kubiak and quarterbacks coach Greg Knapp, he will flourish in that system.

Lynch did not have much to work with at wide receiver while at Memphis. It is not farfetched to think he will put up bigger numbers throwing to Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, Bennie Fowler, Cody Latimer and CJ Anderson. Broncos will have their draft boards set before the Apr. 28 draft and ready in the war room to pick the next great Bronco.
