Fourth Round, 136th Pick: Cardale Jones

The National Champion quarterback, Cardale Jones, out of Ohio State has a big-body frame which would fit well in the new wave NFL quarterbacks entering the 2016 NFL Draft.

Jones has the physical tools of Cam Newton and Ben Roethlisberger, which makes his presence to make it at the next level more intriguing. He will need more time to groom into the offense for the Broncos, but with the options Jones had while at Ohio State, he will fit right in with the weapons in Denver. He could potentially be the steal of the draft. His best attribute, in my opinion, is withstanding pressure and hits like Russell Wilson, Newton, Tony Romo and Roethlisberger. He has similar skills to JaMarcus Russell, but Russell will always be the scapegoat with a size as big as Jones.

Despite the small sample size, Jones showed the capability to perform in big games; with the right coaching around him, Jones could excel at a Pro Bowl level. Yes, that statement may alarm some readers, but the stability of the front office and production of Brock Osweiler in the latter part of the season should give the Broncos’ franchise and the fans hope Jones can do the same.
