Seventh Round, 253rd Pick: Andy Janovich

Gary Kubiak loves his fullbacks. James Casey and Joe Dun Duncan never materialized for the position. Andy Janovich, from Nebraska has the pass catching and running necessary to fit Kubiak’s system in Denver. Kubiak has stated he and the rest of the front office has a couple players in mind for their fullback role.

Listed at 6-1, 238 lbs., Janovich is a tweener fullback/running back that runs with a thunderous and powerful body mold. Fighting through contact and keeping his feet moving will appeal to many teams who need to add a fullback. Janovich will need to work on his pass protection, but he can earn the nod at starter by his stellar special teams play. He was the Cornhuskers’ best special teams player and established himself as running threat with surprising game speed after his game against Wisconsin.

Janovich saw his role increase last season at Nebraska, but scouts will see that as a small amount of work, but talent is there to be an explosive fullback for the Denver Broncos.
