3. DeMarcus Ware’s pay cut

What do champions and Hall of Famers do? They do what it takes to help the team. DeMarcus Ware helped the Bronocs open up $3.5 million in cap space by re-structuring and incentivizing his contract.

He’s a man who is out to help the team in whatever way he can.

Not only did the Broncos realize the importance of keeping Ware around, Ware realized the importance of staying around and keeping the good thing going that the Broncos have in the pass rush department.

With Shaquil Barrett and Shane Ray coming on, the Broncos will be able to limit Ware’s snaps and utilize him to the best of his abilities while keeping his body fresh. Ware is still in great shape, and as proven in the playoffs this past year, he’s still an elite level pass rusher when healthy.

The Broncos are now getting an elite pass rusher at a bargain level price.
