Under The Radar RB Prospects For Broncos
CJ Prosise
Joe Ellis, John Elway and Gary Kubiak could look at CJ Prosise from the University of Notre Dame giving the Broncos the scat back they had in Ronnie Hillman. A scat back would be a necessity for the Broncos even if it may or may not be a ideal fit for an offense, Gary Kubiak would enjoy a running back toy to play with in the backfield.
Hillman would lack the ability of hitting the holes at times shrinking himself at the line of scrimmage. He had games where he would run for over 100 yards, but it was not flashy like Hillman’s style presents. Prosise’s skillset is very different than that of Hillman. Prosise spent some of his collegiate career at wide receiver giving the Broncos a catching threat out of the backfield.
The lateral agility by Prosise and vision to hit the holes with a much improved offensive line, could make him an intriguing candidate for the Broncos to spell CJ Anderson. Even though he lacks time at the position, the sky is the limit for his talent. Prosise could the Broncos a Giovanni Bernard/Jeremy Hill combination at the start of training camp.
Prosise is expected to go in the third and fourth round.
