Brock Osweiler bolts

This is disgusting. You disgust me.

Couldn’t be happier — especially at that price — that Osweiler is out of Denver. Elated, delighted — you come up with a descriptive that is positive, and that’s me.

Osweiler is not deserving of that kind of money, and I’m proud of John Elway for drawing a line in the sand. The Broncos’ offer to Osweiler was more than fair — it was egregious. Four years, reportedly for $16 million per season with a guarantee of over $30 million.

That alone makes it clear that Osweiler didn’t want to be in Denver, which puts us in a situation we haven’t seen before:

John Elway didn’t get the guy he wanted the most.

That’s right. Elway put all his chips in the Brock basket, and is now having to turn to plan B. Do you think Elway is P.O.’d about losing B.O.? You tell me…

Sounds like Elway is pretty disappointed in Brock, and it has been reported by BSN Network that the writing has been on the wall with Osweiler, who apparently hadn’t returned calls to the Broncos or his teammates in weeks. That doesn’t sound like a guy we want running our franchise, and he won’t be.

The Broncos now turn their attention elsewhere at the QB position, and I have my thoughts on that as well. For now, I think we can all agree that Osweiler is someone we are okay without, because after 7 starts in the NFL, he’s making more money this year than Peyton Manning did in any year of his contract with the Broncos, signed in 2012.

Osweiler will average $18 million each year on his four-year deal signed with the Texans, which is the going rate for top level QBs in this league.

The former Arizona State star just hoodwinked Houston.
