Kevin Hogan

Elway might look at his alma mater for depth at quarterback. The Stanford Cardinal employs a heavy run – play action offense, which could place quarterback Kevin Hogan on the Broncos’ radar.

Hogan’s delivery is a cause for concern, but he showed improvement at the recent NFL Combine in Indianapolis. With the speed of the defensive lines and linebackers in the NFL currently, he must develop a quicker throwing motion. Hogan made remarkable strides during his final season at Stanford, totaling 2,867 passing yards with 27 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Denver has the right coaching and system to help Hogan advance his passing techniques. His strong arm, accuracy and decision making skills will suit him well in the NFL. His Weakness include deep ball accuracy and mobility; however, his movement on the run can fool opponents. Hogan understands his strengths and utilizes them well. Given the right offense, which the Broncos have, can make him a serious contender to make the team, albeit as a potential fifth or sixth round pick.
