Broncos Offseason: Brandon Marshall’s Tweet Panics Fans
By Tylor Walden
Continuing on with the offseason coverage, Broncos inside linebacker Brandon Marshall tweets out one word that had Broncos fans doing a double take.
The NFL offseason never ceases to amaze me sometimes. We have six months until training camps begin and it appears the only thing going on with teams in the league are signing players.
There has not been a huge move that I have seen myself, so it has been a slow time. However, last night, one Broncos player had fans doing a double take.
Last night, Broncos inside linebacker Brandon Marshall went to Twitter and tweeted one word that had Broncos fans scratching their heads.
I will admit, I was scratching my head for a moment when I saw the tweet since I haven’t heard it from anyone else. But then Marshall tweeted again about an hour later.
Marshall is set to be a restricted free agent when the new league year begins. So, his situation is just a bit more complex than an unrestricted free agent, but still easy to understand.
If another team decides that they want to sign Marshall, the Broncos can match that offer sheet within a certain amount of time. If they do, Marshall stays with the Broncos. If not, he moves to the team that offered him a deal.
In my opinion, I think he remains with the team. He has been a big piece to the Broncos defense. His ability to stop the run and one of the leaders in tackles, he would be too valuable to pass up.
Let us not forget that Danny Trevathan also had fans panicking when he tweeted “Vikings” the other day. However, he was referencing the show.
