5. Ronnie Hillman…stays?

I don’t really understand why so many people want Hillman to leave. He was the team’s leading rusher this year, and over the last two seasons, it could be argued that when he was healthy, he has been just as effective as C.J. Anderson. I wouldn’t argue it, but someone could.

Hillman provides an element of speed that the Broncos simply don’t have on the offense outside of Emmanuel Sanders. He is a home run threat, and given some more time in this offense to develop, I love his potential as the “Tatum Bell” home run hitter.

The Broncos can use the draft to upgrade at RB, but Hillman isn’t going to cost an arm and a leg. Pay him $3 (ish) million per season, give him a decent raise, and make him get to work. No other team in the NFL is going to overpay for a running back, especially with the names that are going to hit the market.
