#1- Malik Jackson DE

With Derek Wolfe resigned before the Super Bowl run, it could make some tough decisions. But I believe that Jackson has earned a new contract with his play.

With Jackson, you get a defensive end who can stop the run, get to the quarterback, and bat balls down that are thrown. His ability to make plays on the defense at his position is quite remarkable.

And is not just what Jackson has done this season, but what he has done the past couple years. While he has been sidelined by injury for a few games, he has proven that he can be a force, recording all 14 of his career sacks in the last three years.

Another reason why I believe that the Broncos should resign him is his ability to grow. I honestly believe he is getting ready to hit his prime. Jackson has some things in his game play that not even the coaches have seen yet.

The goal for John Elway is to have a defense to compete for years. I honestly believe that Jackson can be that guy along with Derek Wolfe to cause havoc from the defensive line for the Broncos for many years.

The only thing that I could see that would prevent the Broncos from resigning Jackson has been a topic for a few days. His price tag. According to Rotoworld, Jackson could be looking to be even or better the same deal that Wolfe got. (4 years, $36.7 million)

Next: Is Robert Griffin III an option for the Broncos?

The question is could the Broncos afford that? I honestly think that Jackson will be the Broncos free agent that I will be playing close attention to. Only time will tell.
