#2- Brock Osweiler-QB

Now, this will all come down to what Peyton Manning decides to do. But with the options at quarterback slim on the free agent market, the Broncos would be foolish to let Osweiler walk away.

In the final seven games that he started of the 2015 season (the last game he was pulled for Peyton Manning, but was still the quarterback of record in the game), the team went 5-2 and threw for almost 2,000 yards and recorded 10 touchdown passes to six interceptions. Not too bad for a quarterback who has not seen a lot of playing time in his NFL career.

I believe that if Manning does decide to go another year (which, in my opinion, I want him to retire as a champion) that Osweiler should be resigned anyways.

Now, there are reports that the Broncos are waiting on Manning’s decision before talking to Osweiler. That makes it a really tough decision.

I think Osweiler will be resigned. It will not be a huge contract, but it could be significant. Quarterback contracts aren’t cheap in the NFL today. But I think Osweiler has done enough to warrant a decent contract for a quarterback.

As long as he can build off and make limited mistakes and give the Broncos a future after Manning, I think the next paycheck will be even bigger.
