#5- Danny Trevathan ILB

Trevathan has been one of the team’s unsung heroes over the past few years. His ability to stop the running game as well as drop back in pass coverage makes him a very interesting player to look at for free agency.

A few weeks ago, Trevathan did note about a possible reunion with Chicago Bears’ head coach John Fox. He did note that there is a chance he will test the open market and see what the value is at his position.

As a fan, I am all for the Broncos trying to retain as much of their talent on the defensive side of the ball as possible. According to sportrac.com, Trevathan’s contract for 2015 was 1.5 million dollars with a 26 thousand dollar signing bonus.

The tricky part on Trevathan’s contract is how much money will he and his agent be asking for? I believe that both sides can come to an agreement and a fair contract and get a deal done before free agency.

It will not be easy, but something tells me that the Broncos are going to want Brandon Marshall and Danny Trevathan to stick together. I believe Elway finds a way to get something done for Trevathan.
