David Bruton

One of the final remaining holdovers from the Josh McDaniels regime, Bruton was tagged as a special teams player only coming out of Notre Dame in 2009.

At this point in time, you’d be hard pressed to find a guy who means more to the Broncos and the city of Denver than this guy. One of the most active people in the community, Bruton is a key leader of this Denver Broncos team and not only is he incredible off the field, he’s gotten really great on it as well.

The captain of the special teams, Bruton has developed his coverage skills as a safety to the point that I’m comfortable saying to you right now he’s the Broncos’ best coverage safety including the names T.J. Ward and Darian Stewart.

Placed on injured reserve near the end of the regular season, Bruton should be a Bronco for life. If he gets away this offseason, whatever team picks him up will be all the better for it.
