Ronnie Hillman

There were many — including myself — that thought Ronnie Hillman would be in line for an early exit from the NFL after four fumbles in his first two NFL seasons, including an infamous fumble in Peyton Manning’s return to Indianapolis that basically cost the Broncos the game.

We didn’t see Ronnie Hillman very much after that in the 2013 season, but on a rookie contract and at the ripe age of 22, Hillman’s future wasn’t shattered just yet.

Now at age 24, Hillman is still younger than a lot of rookies that will be coming into the league this year. The great news for the Broncos? He’s coming off of the best year of his career, the healthiest year of his career, and he’s shown signs that he’s getting better and better the more he plays.

This season, Hillman finished with 863 yards and seven touchdowns, and over the last two seasons he has 11 touchdowns in total. One of the most underrated aspects of his game is his ability to contribute on third down, not just as a receiver but as a pass protector.

The Broncos would probably love to have Hillman and his speed back on the team.
