5 Reasons the Denver Broncos Win Super Bowl 50
By Tylor Walden
#5- Peyton Manning
Manning has been in three Super Bowls before this one. He is 1-2 in those games. He is also 39 years old, turning 40 in March. This could also be his final game. I think those are enough to prove that he wants to win this game. What better way to go out on top.
Since he has returned to the field in Week 17, his numbers haven’t been Star Wars type, but he has done one thing that is of great importance. He has limited the turnovers.
Minus the fumble that was reviewed due to a backwards pass, Manning has done a really good job at protecting the football. For a guy that threw 17 interceptions on the season, he has yet to throw one since his return to the lineup against the Chargers. He has thrown for 398 yards and two touchdowns.
Not the best numbers, but hey, he is getting the job done for the Broncos.
His play and ability to protect the ball will be key in this game. If you don’t think he wants this, just take a look at his 13 yard run in the AFC Championship Game and then you tell me he doesn’t want this as much as anyone else.
