Divisional Round: vs. Steelers

The Broncos ended up with home field advantage and would host the sixth-seed Pittsburgh Steelers in the divisional round. A rematch of the Week 15 meeting would be played in Denver this time around.

It would mark Manning’s first start since injuring his foot. While he did not put up star wars numbers, he did enough to lead the Broncos to a big 23-16 win over the Steelers to move on to the AFC Championship Game.

To recap this game, I have asked Brandon Marianne Lee from Her Fantasy Football to come back and recap this game.

Favorite Moment:

I feel bad for the guy, but when RB Fitzgerald Toussaint fumbled the ball I knew we were going to win. That’s who we are this year. We are a team led by our defense that needs to win the turnover battle. We did the same thing against the Patriots and somehow we need to get Cam & Co. to follow suit.”

MVP of Divisional Round Game:

If we had a crappy kicker this would be a very bad season. K Brandon McManus does not get the credit he deserves. He’s scored at 50+ yards in six games this season and is at 100% in the playoffs. He’s made some bad kicks (hello, Bengals game), but overall he’s a big part of why we’re in the Super Bowl.”

Obviously our stellar defense is the No. 1 reason we’re here. On that side of the ball I would split the MVP with DL Derek Wolfe and LB Von Miller. Those two players are terrifying in the best way possible and according to ProFootballFocus the two of them recorded seven pressures (sacks and hurries) a piece. I also wish we talked more about the incredible play from OL Evan Mathis. Chip Kelly’s loss was our gain. Clearly, I thought this was a team win.”
