After the Denver Broncos defeated the New England Patriots on Sunday, Peyton Manning said something to Bill Belichick that could hint at the quarterback’s future.

If this truly will be Peyton Manning’s final season in the NFL, the stage could not have been set for a chance for him to go out on top.

The Broncos defeated the Patriots for the second time this season with a 20-18 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon in the AFC Championship Game. For the second time in three years, the Broncos are Super Bowl bound.

There will be without any doubts to be plenty of storylines going into this big time game against the Carolina Panthers. But one of which might have been added to the season’s biggest game.

After the win, Manning and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick greeted each other. Before the two separated, Manning gave what could be a hint towards the future of the quarterback.

Hey Listen… This might be my last rodeo, so, it has been a pleasure.”

While Manning hasn’t made anything official yet, this could be a hint into what could happen after the big game is played on February 7th.

I would not be surprised at all if this does end up being the case, but it will most certainly be met with a lot of applause and maybe even tears for some fans.

But we all must know that this was to happen. Manning is set to turn 40 years old in March and he has shown in the past season-plus that he has declined in production.

But let us not forget that Manning has done so much for the Broncos franchise, as well as the NFL as a whole. Even in his days as a Colt, he has proven to be a class act and a great competitor.

As a sports fan, I have the uttermost respect for Mr. Manning. If the big game in Santa Clara ends up being his final game, I hope to see him go out the same way the John Elway did back in 1999.
